What do you do when your album is the biggest-selling album of the year and you’ve exhausted all the possible singles? Well if you’re Duffy you record more songs, repackage your album and lead in with a killer single called Rain On Your Parade. Sound like a plan?

Rain On Your Parade sounds more like a Bond theme than the current pathetic Alicia Keys and Jack White attempt. Duffy’s husky tones rip through dramatic strings before entering into a killer chorus that gives Mercy a run for its money. Duffy’s vocal is given plenty of reverb to give her an authentic 60s feel and add even more drama to an already drama-packed song.

Duffy has quite simply been the brightest star of 2008. Everything she has touched has turned to gold and Rain On Your Parade suggests she’s got plenty more where that came from. We’re excited about the repackaged album and think it’s perfect for a stocking filler this Christmas.
