Jess Carroll is a new popstar on the block that is currently making waves in Europe with her debut single Without You. Carroll has been working with pop writers to create edgy, danceable pop music and has her sights set on the UK charts.

Without You is a Euro-pop dance anthem and it’s not hard to see why it’s making an impact in Europe. The track is reminiscent of acts such as Cascada and Basshunter and we actually thought it was the new Cascade single when we first heard it. Sadly the production overwhelms Carroll’s vocals and it’s difficult to hear her through the synths and heavy beats.

Carroll will easily find success in the clubs but we’re not sure that’ll translate to the mainstream charts. Without You lacks a unique identity and whilst Carroll shows promise with the song we’d need to hear more before we can make up our minds.
