Duffy is having one hell of a successful year. Her debut album Rockferry is the biggest selling album in the UK so far this year and has spawned two massive hit singles in the shape of Mercy and Warwick Avenue. Next up for the Welsh singer-songwriter is single number four, Stepping Stone.

Stepping Stone is our favourite track on Rockferry so we were delighted it was chosen as a single. The song sounds like a lost Bacharach classic with Duffy’s tender vocals slicing through the emotive instrumentation. As she sings 'I will never be your stepping, take it all or leave it alone' you can feel her pain and relate to the experience she sings of. Vocally Duffy has an incredible knack of putting you in her shoes with the sheer emotion she packs into her voice.

Expect to see Stepping Stone shooting up the charts shortly and becoming another massive hit for Duffy. By the looks of things you can expect her to add a few more thousand sales to her tally before 2008 is out.
