After being decidedly unimpressed with Bryn Christopher's debut single The Quest, it is with caution that we approach second single Smilin'. Can Bryn win us round or do we still think he's over-hyped and undeserving of all the attention he's been getting?

Well we have to reiterate that we can't see a great deal of difference between Bryn and rival David Jordan. Both of them have voices that irritate the hell out of us and a ridiculous falsetto that annoys us even more. On Smilin', Bryn mistakes screeching for singing and his falsetto is just painful. The run-of-the-mill beat does nothing to add to the track and we end up feeling underwhelmed once again.

We're sorry but we just don't see the appeal of Bryn Christopher at all. If painful, tuneless screeching is your bag then you'll have a field day. If like us you prefer your music with a bit of soul and personality then look elsewhere.
