MUZU TV, a new music TV website and video distribution platform, has teamed up with In The City to create In The City TV (www.muzu.tv/InTheCity), a unique online TV channel featuring a number of the bands and music industry panellists that appeared at this year's event in Manchester, October 5th, 6th and 7th.
In The City TV showcases videos and interviews from great bands like Jess Rose Trip, Bo Pepper, The Loose Salute and Baddies, so A&R and fans who may have missed some of the acts can check them out now for free. MUZU TV shot free music videos for 15 lucky unsigned bands during the three day event which will feature on the bands' own MUZU TV channels as well as In The City TV. Fans who attended In The City showcases can also get involved by uploading footage they shot to the Fan TV section of In The City TV.
MUZU TV enables bands to broadcast their music video on the web and get paid wherever it goes. They can create their own branded music TV channel on MUZU TV, featuring multiple video playlists, along with a personalised profile, messaging and fans or friends section. They can also embed their MUZU TV player (with all their video playlists) on their MYSpace, Facebook and Bebo pages and their own sites and make money. MUZU TV pays all music content owners half the net revenue of all ad money generated from their videos. MUZU TV serves display ads (like banners) on bands' MUZU TV channels and non-intrusive 'in-video' adverts within their MUZU TV players, both on MUZU and when the player is embedded.
On MUZU TV music fans can watch thousands of hours of music videos, concerts, documentaries, tutorials, and behind-the-scenes footage from established acts like The Ting Tings, MGMT and Kings of Leon and newcomers like Fight Like Apes and Delorentos. Users can also create a personalised Music TV channel of their favourite artists and videos to share with friends and embed on their social networking sites - all legally and at no cost.
