In a groundbreaking new series running on Bebo, the world's leading social media network, Leon Jackson is to give fans an access-all-areas insight into his life at www.bebo.com/leonslife. The collaboration is the first of its kind between a social media network and a celebrity, and will follow Leon as he prepares to release his long-awaited debut album, every step of the way. From being in the recording studio to meeting and greeting fans, walking down the red carpet alongside the likes of Madonna, appearing on TV shows and shooting his first video - this series is like no other. Leon's Life documents his journey in the lead up to the launch of his debut album, his appearance on X Factor as reigning champion and shows real life in the music industry - from the inside. Backstage at TV shows, inside radio stations, recording studios, at management and label meetings, on the set of shoots, and at home - nowhere is off limits.
Barely recognisable from the shy 19 year old who won the X Factor last year, Leon is living the dream and is full of steel and determination to work hard to make the music he loves and achieve success. From planning meetings, to filming his promo video and recording in the studio, Leon is full of ideas and is making his voice heard throughout the process. Already massively popular on Bebo, Leon's fans will follow him every step of the way, and can even get involved themselves by posting comments, questions, and suggestions on Bebo making the show a truly interactive experience.
For the last six months Leon has been recording with A grade songwriters and producers such as Steve Robson (Take That, James Morrison) and Peter Gordeno (Seal) to create a collection of superb contemporary songs, drawing influences from the worlds of both pop and jazz. Leon's much-anticipated debut album Right Now will be released on October 20th, and fans of his amazing performances won't be disappointed by his smooth and rich vocal delivery across the tracks. This is preceded on October 13th with his single Don't Call This Love, an emotive and heartfelt love song, beautifully showcasing Leon's smooth vocal talent. With lush strings, soaring harmonies and an indelible melody, the track creates a sound that is both soft and mellow, yet still unmistakably 'Leon'.
Sarah Gavin, Bebo's Global Director of Communications said: "We're thrilled to be working with Leon Jackson on this ground-breaking series. Here at Bebo we are always looking for new ways to bring exciting content to our users, and we are confident they'll enjoy following, and interacting with, Leon's Life"
Leon Jackson, musician and Bebo star, said "I love the way shows like Ewan McGregor's The Long Way Round show the ups (and the downs!) of what is an amazing journey and I wanted to do that with this series. People were able to go on a journey with me through the X Factor and I want them to continue to do this with my new Bebo series."
Outtakes from the series will appear on Leon's official website.
