New Duffy Track On Soundtrack

Posted: Friday 19th September 2008

The original soundtrack to How To Lose Friends & Alienate People will be released through Polydor Records on 29th September. The soundtrack brings together an inspiring selection of songs as the setting to the romantic comedy. Simon Pegg joins an all-star cast, including Kirsten Dunst, Megan Fox, Gillian Anderson, Danny Husten and Jeff Bridges in an adaptation of Toby Young's best-selling memoir.

One of the album highlights is the enchanting Enough Love, an exclusive track from multi-million-selling songstress Duffy. Her debut album ‘Rockferry' was released in March this year and has sold over 3m copies worldwide and spent an amazing 27 weeks in the Top 5 of the UK's album chart. Also featured on the album are Scissor Sisters' infectious #1 single I Don't Feel Like Dancin', The Killers anthem For Reasons Unknown, Guillemots' upbeat track Get Over It along with the beautiful ballad Heavy Like Sunday from Polydor/Kid Glove signing Leona Ness.

The album's score has been composed by David Arnold, although best known for his work on recent Bond films, the Grammy Award winning film composer has also worked with the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, Chris Cornell, Bjork and Massive Attack.

How To Lose Friends & Alienate People chronicles Sidney Young's dismal failure at New York's most prestigious magazine. He cuts a swathe through Manhattan for all the wrong reasons and his bad manners and vulgar pranks lead to monumental mishaps with hilarious consequences - until finally and improbably he wins the heart of his true love.
