Michelle Williams rose to fame as a 3rd of the top-selling female group of all time Destiny's Child. And now, she follows band-mates Beyonce and Kelly Rowland in releasing her first solo pop album. Unexpected will be released on September 29th, preceded by the single We Break The Dawn on September 22nd.
Michelle's first solo record Heart To Yours entered the Billboard Gospel Albums Chart at number 1, and became the years top selling Gospel album. Now Michelle turns her hand back to pop and has been working with collaborating with some of today's hottest producers including Jim Jonsin (Jamie Foxx featuring Ludacris, Sean Paul, Danity Kane, Trina featuring Kelly Rowland, Pretty Ricky, Lil Wayne featuring Static Major, Bow Wow and Omarion); Rico Love (Usher, Omarion, Natasha Bedingfield, Tiffany Evans featuring Bow Wow); Wayne Wilkins (Natasha Bedingfield, Kylie Minogue, Pink, No Doubt); Andrew Frampton (Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue); StarGate and more.
Michelle has certainly kept busy since Destiny's Child's last record and made her on-stage acting debut in 2003, replacing R&B icon Toni Braxton in the title role of Aida, the hit Broadway musical with music by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice. Beginning in April 2007, Michelle joined the national touring company--performing extended runs in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles with members of the original Broadway cast--of the hit musical adaptation of The Color Purple.
Beyonce, then Kelly, and now Michelle - nothing can stop these girls!
