Interview: Jason Mraz
Jason Mraz is one of our very favourite artists here at Entertainment Focus. After building a steady fanbase here in the UK, Mraz is on the cusp of releasing his third album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things.
We caught up with the charismatic performer to find out more about the new album and ask him about his extensive touring experiences.
Current single I'm Yours is in the shops now.
1. How are you finding the UK?
I like it especially the sunshine, the turquoise water and parasailing ;)
2. Tell us about your single ‘I’m Yours’.
It is an endless summer kind of track inspired by my hometown San Diego.
3. Your new album is called ‘We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things’. Tell us about it.
It is a born again hippy album and tells you to live simply.
4. You’ve toured with artists ranging from Jewel to The Rolling Stones. Who was your favourite and why?
I don’t have a favourite it was great to work with The Rolling Stones as its fun to watch a band of old guys make it big in today’s youthful music scene. As for Jewel I once got to share a microphone with her and our tongues were very close ;)
5. When can we see Mr A-Z live?
I have a tour in June and July featuring UK dates.
6. What’s on your iPod at the moment?
Bush Walla he is an unsigned genius.
7. What are your plans for the rest of 2008?
Coming to a city near you!
